Nottingham Trwnt University (NTU) has retained its position of 3rd out of more than 154 institutions in 2021, listed in the UK’s only comprehensive and independent league table of universities ranked by environmental and ethical performance. People & Planet analyses a range of different subject areas including energy, water, food, education and ethical investment.

A culture of sustainable development has been created across the University through a variety of initiatives. These include the Green Rewards colleague and student engagement platform, sustainable dining in our campus catering outlets from sourcing through to serving, a bike hire scheme and a new Net Zero Carbon strategy.

Charmaine Morell, Head of Sustainability at Nottingham Trent University said: “NTU is one of the most sustainable universities in the UK and this ranking yet again demonstrates the commitment of not only our leadership, but our colleagues and our students, to achieving our core ‘Embracing Sustainability’ strategy.”
