Through its Channelizing of Youth operation, Kalyani Youth Leadership Forum (KYLF), the largest management students-driven NGO of Kolkata, India, has been commemorating United Nations’ World Youth Skills Day by imparting ‘Life and Work Skills’ to nearly 100 underprivileged children at Adarsh Madhyamik Vidhyalaya. The three-day, job-oriented, industry-aligned workshop, conducted from 13 July to 15 July 2017, included training in basic computing and Microsoft Office suites.
Kalyani, a Bikram Dasgupta Foundation, believes in the power of the youth to bring about societal transformation and the first step lies in providing them with the opportunity and a platform – Kalyani Youth Leadership Forum – to help and engage closely with society. Formed by the students of Globsyn Business School, KYLF helps students imbibe the practice of selfless social work as an integral part of their lives. KYLF provides an opportunity to students to contribute towards the betterment of society as well as develop themselves as dedicated and compassionate managers, and better human beings.
